The TAC909H belongs to Seekerâs Tactic Series, a refined evolution of classic Shikari-style blanks. With design influence from Brad Loomis, these rods were built to feel lighter, cast smoother, and fish stronger than traditional designs.
This rod became our first split-grip build for a reason. We were looking for a blank that could throw our 5â Gideon surface iron effortlessly, and the TAC909H immediately stood out.
Despite the âHâ in the blank name, this is not a fast, broomstick style rod. The TAC909H carries a medium action with a smooth loading curve, allowing the blank to bend and recover cleanly on the cast. That controlled action helps you load the rod properly, resulting in a smooth cast, better distance and less fatigue throughout the day.
Built using a carbon and E-glass composite that runs continuously through the rod and into the tip, the TAC909H stays extremely light in hand while maintaining the backbone needed when itâs time to pull. It pairs exceptionally well with 400-size baitcasters, such as the Daiwa Lexa 400, creating a balanced, modern surface iron setup.
The split-grip configuration reduces overall weight while the extended handle section gives you the option to fish the rail when needed, adding versatility without sacrificing comfort or control.
While it excels as a surface iron rod, the TAC909H is far from one-dimensional. Itâs equally effective throwing colt snipers, stickbaits, and live bait, making it an excellent choice for anglers who want one rod that can cover multiple techniques without compromise.
If youâre looking for a lightweight, responsive jig stick with smooth casting rhythm and true versatility, the Seeker TAC909H is it.
